Sharelle is a partner at Scanlan Carroll where her work focuses strongly on the commercial sector. Her expertise includes commercial advice and strategy. She assists clients with all aspects of transactional matters, including providing advice to company directors and shareholders of their rights and obligations, as well as general advice on business structures.
Sharelle’s expertise in the commercial sector assists family law clients who require business interests to be valued and divided amongst the parties. Sharelle understands that many client’s are overwhelmed by complex property issues during a family law matrimonial and uses her extensive commercial law knowledge to assist clients in navigating the stressful process.
In the area of employment law Sharelle guides employers and employees in relation to their obligations, performance concerns and disciplinary actions, and helps parties bring an end to the employment relationship where necessary. Sharelle works closely with family owned businesses, high net worth individuals and small to medium enterprises.

Alexandra commenced employment at Scanlan Carroll in early 2018 after being admitted to practice in late 2017 and gaining valuable experience in family and criminal law at community legal centres.
Alexandra is passionate and empathetic and strives to ensure clients receive advice in an accessible and timely manner.
Alexandra understands the need to provide proactive legal advice to clients in commercial sectors to ensure they are keeping up to date with the changing laws. She also understands the difficulties clients experience when dealing with family law parenting and property matters and seeks to offer practical, tailored advice to provide the best possible outcomes.
When she is not working, Alexandra enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband, Lewis, and her greyhound, Fergus.

Emma commenced employment at Scanlan Carroll in July 2017 and has dedicated herself to working in all of Scanlan Carroll’s practice areas. Emma became a Partner at Scanlan Carroll in September 2025.
In particular, Emma assists clients with estate planning, estate litigation, trusts and superannuation advice and disputes, civil disputes, employment law and commercial law.
Emma was accredited as a specialist in wills and estates in November 2022. Her impressive depth of knowledge in wills and estates is extremely valuable to clients with a range of issues, from straightforward wills to complex trust structure advice.
Emma takes an active approach in keeping up to date with the latest developments in relation to commercial law, estates law and risk management.
Emma values the importance of providing support to clients in difficult circumstances. She understands that the breakdown of a relationship or the administration of an estate can be amongst the most difficult and stressful times. Emma enjoys working closely with the team at Scanlan Carroll to ensure clients are provided with practical solutions to achieve the best possible outcome.
Gillian was admitted to practice in October 2022 and commenced working at Scanlan Carroll in December 2022. Gillian became a Partner at Scanlan Carroll in September 2025.
Gillian is a passionate and engaged solicitor who assists the partners to deliver excellent client service. She works across family law, business law, commercial law, wills and estate planning, probate, and estate administration. In particular, she is passionate about assisting clients with wills and estates matters.
Gillian also has a degree in psychological science.
In her spare time, Gillian plays basketball twice a week and enjoys Pilates.
Kathy was admitted to practice in 2024 following obtaining a double degree in Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychological Science from La Trobe University.
Having commenced working at Scanlan Carroll in June 2023, Kathy is a valued and proactive member of the team across all of the firm’s practice areas including family law, employment law, estate planning, probate, disputes and commercial matters.
Kathy enjoys working across all practice areas and in particular she has a passion for family law. She enjoys assisting clients with negotiating property and parenting settlements, preparing financial agreements, divorce applications and intervention order matters.
Outside of work Kathy’s interests include her cats, Timmy and Toby, and Taylor Swift.
Georgia is a solicitor at Scanlan Carroll who was admitted as a solicitor in February 2026. She has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Global Studies.
Georgia joined Scanlan Carroll as a law student in November 2023 and now works as a solicitor across all of Scanlan Carroll’s practice areas.
In her spare time Georgia plays netball and generally enjoys being active.
Melissa is a solicitor at Scanlan Carroll who was admitted to practice in March 2026. Melissa joined the team in August 2023 while she was completing her university degree and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Psychological Science.
Melissa practices as a solicitor across all the firms practice areas including commercial law, family law, employment law, litigation, and wills and estates.
During her studies, Melissa has previously broadened her experience by completing internships at DFFH Child Protection, the Magistrates Court and at a children’s law podcast. Melissa also enjoyed writing her university Honours thesis in her final year of her law degree on the amendments in family law and the best interests of the child.
In her spare time Melissa enjoys learning a new language, travelling, performing arts and music, Pilates and going for a social coffee.
After completing a Bachelor degree in Accounting in the United Kingdom and a Juris Doctor in Melbourne, Kitty was admitted to practice in 2025.
Kitty joined Scanlan Carroll in February 2026 as a solicitor and works across a range of the firm’s practice areas, including wills and estates, commercial law, employment law and family law.
Kitty is also fluent in Mandarin and recognises the importance of ensuring timely access to legal assistance for clients from diverse backgrounds when required.
Outside of work, Kitty enjoys spending time with her Cavoodle at the park and travelling to explore different countries and cultures.

Claire commenced employment at Scanlan Carroll in early 2022 as a law clerk, commencing her legal career while undertaking her law degree with a clear ambition to become a practising solicitor.
Claire holds an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor of Legal and Dispute Studies, providing her with a strong academic foundation in legal practice. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in December 2025 and has since completed her Practical Legal Training.
During her time at the firm, Claire has developed a strong foundation across a broad range of practice areas, including commercial law, litigation and dispute resolution, family law, employment law, wills and estates and probate and estate administration. Her role has equipped her with both legal and administrative expertise, enabling her to contribute meaningfully to client matters and support the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Claire is known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to professional growth. She approaches her work with integrity and a genuine interest in achieving the best outcomes for clients.
Outside of the office, Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends and travelling to new destinations.
Bianca graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours in December 2025 and has since completed her Practical Legal Training. She is currently in the process of being admitted as a practising lawyer.
Bianca commenced her career with Scanlan Carroll in 2025, where she has developed an interest in commercial law, with a particular focus on commercial transactions, business structuring and contract drafting and negotiation. She also has knowledge across the firm’s other practice areas of employment law, family law, wills and estates and litigation and dispute resolution.
Bianca brings with her several years of experience in client-facing roles, which has shaped her approachable and client-focused manner. She is dedicated to supporting matters from initial instruction through to completion.
Outside of work, Bianca enjoys Pilates and travelling with friends and family.
Josh is a law student who joined the Scanlan Carroll team in December 2024 and expects to graduate in 2026.
Josh is in his fourth year of studies at Latrobe University undertaking a Bachelor of Laws (Honours).
Josh works across all of Scanlan Carroll’s practice areas and has a particular interest in employment law and dispute resolution.
Josh recently completed a 3-month placement for Victorian Legal Aid in Ringwood shadowing a duty lawyer.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys playing soccer and watching live music.
Marcus is currently working as a law student at Scanlan Carroll while undertaking his second year of the Juris Doctor degree at the University of Melbourne. In 2024, Marcus graduated from the University of Melbourne with an Arts degree majoring in criminology and creative writing.
Marcus joined Scanlan Carroll in October 2025 and works across all of Scanlan Carroll’s practice areas including commercial law, family law, employment law and wills and estates.
Outside of Scanlan Carroll Marcus enjoys hiking and reading.
Sarah is a law student who joined the Scanlan Carroll team in May 2025.
Sarah is in her third year of studies at Monash University undertaking a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Arts. She assists across all of Scanlan Carroll’s practice areas and has a particular interest in commercial and employment law.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys travelling with friends.
