In Victoria in the 2022 financial year, there were 49,633 family violence intervention order applications. An intervention order was made in 74.2% of these applications.[1]

Intervention orders serve an important purpose, however with a high volume of applications there can unfortunately be some which are made without proper basis.

We have successfully represented clients to have baseless intervention order applications withdrawn so that such applications will not unduly affect them or their time with their children.
